How to Make the Perfect Pinto Bean Burrito

Everyone has that one dish. You know, the one that isn't anything special. It's not gourmet. It's the one you wouldn't brag about to your foodie friends.

But, it's the dish you always fall back on. Your true and tried. The I'm-too-tired-to-move-and-am-too-hangry-to-function option. The dish that is the answer to the question: "What would you eat for the rest of your life if you could only eat one dish?"

A bean burrito for me, please! Sounds crazy, I know. If we're Instagram friends already or if you know my family, that's of no surprise to you.

[For those of you that are not familiar with the Kennedy clan, here's a quick low-down: My parents raised 7 children on not much more than a pot of beans, homemade salsa, and a lot of grace and patience. A pinto bean burrito with homemade salsa is like a taste of my childhood (and teenage years, and college years, and post grad life...) ]

So, to try my "one dish" here are the tricks:
1. Make your own pot of homemade pinto beans - drop the canned stuff.
2. Try making your own homemade salsa to spice it up.
3. Enjoy!
4. But wait, before you go burrito-ing!

I want to hear what's your "one dish"! What's the meal you turn to when you need a taste of comfort? Or nothing sounds appetizing but this one thing? I always am P-U-M-P-E-D to hear from ya'll, so seriously, comment below, say something on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, send a carrier pigeon, email, smoke signals, you choose!

Can't wait to hear from you!
Spice it up.
